Joe Singleton  had long admired the style that Joe Val brought to Bluegrass music, this performance was a tribute to the high tenor vocals and driving bluegrass that made Joe Val special.  The band features Joe Singleton on lead and tenor vocals and two members of Joe Val’s New England Bluegrass Boys,  Dave Dillon, and  Eric Levenson.   Dave Dillon’s years with Joe Val provided us with many treasures of recording featuring his guitar and vocals backed by Eric Levenson’s unmistakable bass playing; joining them New England Banjo champion  Rich Stillman, the fantastic fiddling of  Mike Barnett, and John Roc on mandolin.
